Purpose

For painting metal stoves, fireplaces, chimneys, and pipes. Not suitable for stove and fireplace doors or other components that heat above 120°C.

Types of surfaces for painting

Metal surfaces. Also suitable for concrete, reinforced concrete, asbestos cement, brick, and plastered surfaces.

Surface preparation before painting

Remove salts, oils, and other dirt from the painted surface. Wash dirty surfaces with Easy Clean cleaning agent and allow to dry. Use sandpaper or a steel brush to remove rust and peeling paint. Sand glossy surfaces until they are matte. Carefully remove all dust.

Application

Before use, stir the paint thoroughly. To avoid color variations, we recommend mixing a sufficient quantity of paint in a single container when coating large surfaces. Apply 1–2 coats using a brush, low-nap roller, or spray gun. For spray application, dilute the paint with White Spirit to achieve the required working viscosity (5–10% for airless spraying, 10–15% for conventional spraying). Suitable air and surface temperature should not be below +5°C, and relative humidity should be below 80%. Do not paint surfaces with temperatures exceeding +35°C. The drying time between coats depends on film thickness, ambient temperature, and humidity, and may range from 6 to 10 hours; full curing occurs within 24 hours (at temperatures between 15–30°C). Primed surfaces should only be painted after the primer has fully dried.

Care for the painted surface

The surface reaches its final hardness and abrasion resistance four weeks after painting. If cleaning is required earlier, it should be done carefully using a damp soft sponge or cloth. For washing the painted surface, use water and, if necessary, neutral or mildly alkaline cleaning agents (pH up to 9). After cleaning, rinse the surface thoroughly with clean water and allow it to dry.

Tools

Paintbrush, low-pile paint roller, spray gun.

Tool cleaning

Clean the tool with White Spirit immediately after painting.
