Drying time: At the temperature of +20 °C and the relative humidity of 60%, the surface is dust-dry in 1 hour. The surface is ready for normal use in 48 hours after painting. If the temperature is lower and the humidity is higher, the drying takes longer accordingly. The paint coating reaches its peak hardness and wash resistance in about four weeks. In the meantime, avoid loading the surface, vigorous cleaning or contact of the surface with hot or sticky objects.

class 1 in accordance with EN 13300.

Purpose

For painting new or previously painted wooden furniture (cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, etc.), other wooden surfaces (hand rails, baseboards, etc.), and items made of wood chipboard or wood-fiber board. Can be used on surfaces previously painted with alkyd or catalyst paint. Not suitable for surfaces previously coated with nitrate cellulose paint or varnish. Do not use for painting floors, stairs or items used in outdoor conditions.

Wooden furniture and other wooden surfaces as well as items made of plywood, wood chipboard or wood-fiber board.

Surface preparation before painting

The surface to be painted must be degreased and cleaned from peeling paint, dirt and dust; it must also be dry. New surfaces:
Clean the surface from dirt, dust or grease. If there are any knots on the surface, remove resin and treat the knots with isolating varnish. Before painting, spray wooden surfaces with water, let them dry and sand the wood fibers which have risen. Prime the surface with the paint diluted with water in the amount of 5–10% of its volume.
Previously painted surfaces:
Remove peeling paint and rust stains (for example, those left by screw heads). Wash dirty surfaces with a detergent solution, rinse with water and let dry. Hard glossy surfaces should be sanded until they are matt. Use the OPS PRO product for the removal of old varnish coatings if necessary. Then prepare he surface in the same way as untreated surfaces.

Application

Stir the paint thoroughly before application. If necessary, dilute with water in the amount of 5% of its volume. Mixing a sufficient quantity of the tinted paint from several cans in one container is recommended for ensuring that the colour of large surfaces is even. Apply 1-2 coats with a brush, roller or spray gun at the temperature between +10 °C and +28 °C and relative humidity not exceeding 80%. Application in the conditions of exposure to direct sunlight, draughts and high temperature can cause surface defects.

Care for the painted surface

The coating reaches its peak wash resistance in about 4 weeks; in the meantime, treat the surface with care until its hardness and wash resistance have reached their peak levels.
If necessary, the surface can be lightly wiped with a soft sponge or cloth approximately 48 hours after paint application.
We recommend using water and neutral or medium alkaline detergents (pH below 9) for cleaning.
Do not use organic solvents, abrasive cleansers and hard scrubbing brushes or sponges. Hard rubbing can make the surface glossy.
The coating is resistant to solutions of detergents in water, to oils and greases, and short-term exposure to weak solvents (gasoline, white spirit).

Clean the tools with water after completing work.

Safety precautions

Warning! Hazardous respirable droplets may be formed when sprayed. Do not breathe spray or mist.
Contains 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, reaction mass of 5-chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (3:1). May produce an allergic reaction. Keep out of reach of children. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. When operating, follow working safety standards and requirements. As a preventative measure it is recommended to use basic Personal Protection Equipment.

Waste treatment

Avoid release to the environment. Dispose of the contents/containers in accordance with the current legislation on waste treatment.
Waste treatment methods: code 08 01 12- Waste paint and varnish other than those mentioned in 08 01 11, waste class (Regulation (EU) No 1357/2014): non-dangerous.

Storage conditions

Store in a tightly closed container at the temperature between +5 °С and +35 °С. Protect from exposure to freezing and direct sunlight.
