Oil of turpentine for diluting oil-base and alkyd products.
Solvent for oils as well as oil-base and alkyd (pentaphtol) paints, varnishes and preservatives, tar and other oil-base products. Also used for removing stains as well as cleaning and degreasing surfaces.
When thinning paints and varnishes, follow the instructions for use attached to them. When removing stains and degreasing, make sure that the surface to be treated can withstand the solvent.
DANGER. Harmful if swallowed, in contact with skin or if inhaled. Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. Causes serious eye irritation. Flammable liquid and vapour. Causes skin irritation. May cause an allergic skin reaction. Contains Turpentine, oil; Hydrocarbons, C10-C13, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, <2% aromatics. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/face protection. Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a POISON CENTER/doctor. UFI: DN10-U047-Y00G-DHNR. Do NOT induce vomiting. IF ON SKIN (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water or shower. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. In case of fire: Use ABC powder extinguisher to extinguish. Store in a well-ventilated place.
Do not empty into drains. Avoid release to the environment. Dispose of packaging, dry general and hazardous liquid paint waste in accordance with local regulations.
Store in a tightly closed container in a well-ventilated place at a temperature < 30 °C. Protect from direct sunlight.
