Purpose

For treating wooden surfaces in outdoor applications that come into contact with soil: terraces, sheds, wood storage areas, fences, and other structural supports of constructions, such as fence and support posts, garden bed edges, pathway borders, sleepers, etc. Before treating posts and other wooden materials embedded in wet soil, ensure proper waterproofing and drainage. Not suitable for use on terraces, garden furniture, or products used in water (e.g., bridge supports, piles, etc.).

Surfaces to be treated

Wooden surfaces.

Surface preparation

The wood must be dry (moisture content <20%) and cleaned of mold, moss, lichen, sawdust, bark, dust, old paint coatings, and other impurities. Use a wire brush, scraper, or high-pressure washer for cleaning.

Application

Before use, mix thoroughly. Apply generously to the surface with a wide brush until saturation, or use the soaking method. Pay special attention to treating end grains. Do not leave untreated areas! Avoid applying excessively thick layers; it is better to apply several thin layers, allowing each to absorb before adding the next. For treating tightly planed wood, it is recommended to dilute the impregnation agent with 10–15% turpentine or white spirit. The working temperature should be above 10°C. This ensures faster and deeper penetration into the wood. It is not advisable to work in direct sunlight, at temperatures above 30°C, high humidity (>80%), during rain, or in foggy conditions.
