Sustainable deveiopment

The Eskaro Group is working constantly for sustainable development.

The term “sustainable development” first became popular in 1987 when Gro Harlem Brundtland’s report Our Common Future was published by the World Commission on Environment and Development.

The report defined sustainable development as “satisfying the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”.

This principle of sustainable development is an integral part of our corporate values.

We have made a declaration of our determination to support sustainable development and of our commitment to the three main components of the sustainable development model: economics, society and the environment.

We believe that each individual person must take responsibility for supporting, following and promoting these principles.

Economics

  • Stable business development
  • Consistent improvement of the quality of work
  • Investments in environmentally sustainable technical research and development

The main indicators of success are our share of the paint market, the EBITDA to Sales ratio, and equity coverage of non-current assets.

Society

  • A conscious effort to have the best possible quality of life
  • Improvement of working conditions and staff motivation
  • Equal opportunities for development for all our regions

The main indicator of success is the satisfaction of our clients, partners and employees.

Environment

  • Support for the principles of sufficiency and the sustainable use of resources
  • Promotion of environmentally sound products and solutions
  • Identification with the world around us

The main indicator of success is the share of environmentally sustainable products in total sales. Annual assessment of the quality of production processes, raw materials and output, and the work of our people to apply the corporate principles of development have helped us run a number of programmes to protect the natural and human environment.
