Wooden facades, cladding boards, fences, cornices, railings, garden furniture, plywood, veneer, particle board, milled logs, and other wood surfaces not in contact with soil, surface water, or seawater. For outdoor use, wood surfaces must first be primed with the wood preservative Biostop Aqua V. Colorless Wood Lasur Aqua is intended for use in tinted form and is not suitable for exterior use when untinted. It can be used as a first coat to give wood surfaces a desired shade (e.g., stairs, floors), but a wear-resistant topcoat is required. Suitable for both interior and exterior use.
New untreated or previously cleaned wood surfaces, constructions, particle boards, fibreboards, cladding boards, plywood, veneer, and other wood products. Suitable for both sawn and planed surfaces. Not to be used on biologically damaged surfaces. Not suitable for treating horizontal surfaces outdoors, nor for previously oiled or varnish-impregnated surfaces, or for coating hardwood.
The wood surface to be treated must be dry, with a moisture content below 20%. The appropriate working temperature is between +10…25 °C, and the relative humidity must not exceed 80%. The surface must be thoroughly cleaned of grease, dust, sawdust, and other dirt. The wood must not be affected by fungal damage (mold, rot, blue stain). For cleaning and bleaching the wood, use WoodClean (follow the product instructions).
Previously painted surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned of old paint using a scraper, brush, heat gun, or paint remover such as OPS Pro. Glossy surfaces should be sanded until matte. Rotten or decayed boards must be replaced with new ones. For fastening wooden elements, it is recommended to use galvanized fasteners. Untreated metal parts must be protected against rust beforehand.
For outdoor use, wood surfaces must be primed with the wood preservative Biostop Aqua V (Biostop). Outdoor work should be avoided during hot weather, direct sunlight, strong winds, rain, or fog. Ensure that the treated surface has time to dry before evening dew forms.
Pay attention to constructive wood protection methods – good drainage, ventilation, and waterproofing of walls and roofs. The effectiveness of wood protection products depends on the proper implementation of constructive wood protection techniques.
Before use, stir the product thoroughly and carefully (avoid air bubbles). Also stir occasionally during application. Apply in 2 coats with a brush at a temperature of +10…25 °C and relative humidity up to 80%. Apply evenly from edge to edge along the wood grain. To ensure a uniform color tone, treat the surface in one uninterrupted coat. Pay special attention to finishing the end grains of the wood.
When using the product to tint wood surfaces (e.g., floors, stairs, handrails), apply one coat, allow to dry, sand, and carefully remove dust. Then cover the surface with a wear-resistant lacquer such as Parketilakk WE.
For surfaces previously treated with colored wood protection products, it is recommended to choose the same or a similar shade. The final color of the treated surface depends on the type of wood, number of applied coats, and the presence of knots.
Colorless Wood Lasur Aqua is intended for use in tinted form and is not suitable for exterior use when untinted. Pre-tinted Wood Lasur should be selected from the same batch. When treating large surfaces, it is advisable to mix products from different packages into one container to ensure a uniform color tone.
Store and transport in a tightly sealed container at the temperature between +5…30 °С. Protect from exposure to freezing and direct sunlight.
